8.8.08 The Detroit Bar was a great night for us. Charles and Pete were totally locked in, and I had just complete freedom to do whatever I felt like. It's been since our formation in 2002, with John St. John on bass (hi John!) that we were three. There's an energy about it, having to prove you're worth the audience's attention I guess. It amps things up, maybe adds that urgency. We will be filming the "Knapsack" video this weekend, with Eric Michelson. Also, a quick hi to Republic of Letters, who had a fantastic show at the Avalon at North by North Park this week. -Lee 8.4.08 We're totally excited about the Detroit Bar show tomorrow night in Costa Mesa, CA. We go on at 9:40, if you feel like coming out. If you are a visitor to EchoRevolution.com and have not been able to join the fan list... please try again (the bug has been fixed, we think!) Do you all want to see us post more videos? Let us know, go to our "Contact" page! 8.2.08 Check out the new video of Lee playing an acoustic version of "counterfeit sunshine." This is a new track, and is previously unreleased. If you sign up for the Echo Revolution Fan list, we will send you a special full-band live recording of this song! 7.29.08 We are gearing up for the Detroit Bar show. It should be interesting, considering Sturino and Schaedler are out for this one! Pete Brittman will be filling in on drums, and as for Sturino... well let's just see if I can play for two. We're still excited for the show though. We will be focusing a lot on harmonies, so they should stand out more than your average ER show. -Lee 7.24.08 The Canes show went fantastic. One Lonely Robot had a great set, as did Fuzz Huzzi. We only caught 1 song of Tiger Sharks, who where tight, and teased the crowd mercilessly. Thanks to SDSU's KCR radio for our on-air interview, and Rockin Johnny White for putting on the show. We encourage you to check out our friends Billy Midnight and Republic of Letters Saturday 8/2 at the North by Northwest festival in North Park, San Diego. Tickets are available online. Why aren't we in any festivals? Well, the answer may surprise you. 1) We chronically miss submittal deadlines, and 2) most festivals don't allow goats onstage. 7.19.08 U31, what a great spot in San Diego. This has become one of our favorites overnight. The crowd was fantastic, and it felt like every breath we took on stage was heard. The connection with all of you who came out was really memorable. We brought out a new song, "Counterfeit Sunshine," which is getting a very enthusiastic response from fans. No, it's not available on a cd yet, but we will be making a special live recording available to fans (sign up on this page!). We'll have more updates to the page in the coming days. Don't forget to buy tickets for Canes this Wed... we have $5 tickets ($8 at door) at the Merchandise store (top right), and we do a "Will Call" for you at the show. It just keeps getting better, and more exciting for us. Thank you;) -Lee 7.10.08 We have a ton of shows for July, most noteably U31 Wed 7/16 and Canes 7/23. Be sure and check the "shows" page, because some set times have changed, as well as bands on the bill. Also, we now have discount tickets for the 7/23 Canes show at the ER Store for $5! Expect regular updates to this page in the coming weeks, with video and interviews with the band. We even expect to start a podcast through Open Arms Records, which will be available for subscription soon! 7.6.08 The 4th of July weekend saw the band scattered all over. I was in Seattle, and loved it. If you live in a west coast state, let us know if you'd like to see ER come through on our next west coast tour! - Lee 6.26.08 We settled on a location for the "Knapsack" video shoot today, in a warehouse district near downtown. Eric Michelson of Carma Media will be directing the video, and the band is excited to work with him. We booked three shows today, so check out the calendar. If you live in Orange County, we're hitting up the Detroit Bar in August. For San Diegans, there are a couple of exciting additions, not the least of which is a Thurs 7/16 show coming to U31! We'll have details and a flyer for you soon. Did you happen to notice the video of "Come Down" from 4th & B? 6.23.08 4th and B was a blast. Thanks to all who came out to the show! Welcome to all our new friends. This was a hustle of a show, quick set up, 20min set. Crazy. But it felt great once Sturino hit his Vietnam chopper effect. Like usual, it's just snapshots of memories. Moments looking here or there, or at the band or someone in the crowd. Maybe its the focus on the music that makes it that way? Well, we will be scouting filming locations for the Knapsack video this week in San Diego. Do you think you have a room with high ceilings and controlled lighting that you'd like to let a poor indie band use on a weekend? My god man, let us know! -Lee 6.20.08 Mark Knoll will be playing funk with "The Downstroke" tonight at the South Park Bar & Grill. Check a brother out! 6.19.08 Just added, Echo will play U31 Wed 7/23. We have never played this club, but we intend to throttle it with a crazy show. Absolutely can't wait for this show! 6.18.08 We will begin filming the "Knapsack" video in July. You can also expect some Lo-Fi video of Lee and the lads interviewing themselves, each other, other bands, playing random songs, and petting furry creatures... So check back regularly. Or, if you're already hungry, search "Echo Revolution" on YouTube! -Lee 6.13.08 "A Safe Place to Start" has gotten a warm reception nationwide on college radio! 136 stations added the CD over the last six weeks, with at least 78 stations giving ER regular airplay! Special thanks to WLHS (charted #4), M3 Radio (#5), KGAR (#8), WONC (#11) and WDPS (#23). If you'd like to hear ER on your college station, call in a requets. They probably have a copy of "A Safe Place to Start!" 6.10.08 We will be doing a music video for "Knapsack" in the next month with director Eric Michelson. If you make it out to the 4th & B show, there is a good chance footage from that show will be a part of the music video. Do you have a favorite song on the new album "A Safe Place to Start?" Let us know! 6.5.08 We just added a last minute show for this weekend. This Saturday, 6/7, the "Art Around Adams" festival in San Diego will showcase artwork and music from 2pm-10pm. The event spans 1.5 miles of Adams Avenue, and live music performances by Echo Revolution, Apes of Wrath (killer band) and many others will happen at venues such as Kensington Club, Lestat's, etc. We will be at the Kensington Club at 3:00, and the show is free. We hope to see you there! 5.31.08 The website is undergoing some changes. Feel free to visit the Echo Revolution MySpace page to hear tunes until the music player is resurrected. 5.14.08 We have advanced to the final San Diego round of the Emergenza Music Festival, to be held at 4th & B on Saturday 6/21! This is our first show at 4th & B, and we're totally pumped. We will be filming the show for cuts into a coming music video. Check back regularly for details and ticket giveaways for official Echo Revolution fans (sign up below). 5.6.08 The band is getting college radio spins on "A Safe Place to Start" countrywide! We seem to be pretty popular on the east coast so far. Let us know if you have heard us on college radio! Requests can be made to most major college radio stations in the US, and many commercial stations on the west coast. We will post a list of stations with the new album soon! 4.25.08 We played Rebecca's Coffee House in North Park last night. The MC said "No dirty language" or something, then this dude started in with his guitar about STD's. Funny at first, but the bouncers got him. The show went very well, and welcome to all the new ER fans who signed up! We will have video of this fun little acoustic show very very soon! 4.22.08 We will be "Member of the Day" on FM 94/9 in San Diego this coming Monday for the song "Knapsack." Once we get this webpage updated, there will be info for calling/emailing requests for you guys. 4.15.08 We got back from our west coast tour, tired but excited. The Rockit Room in SF was a great spot, with terrific sound. Charles tossed his sunglasses in the middle of "Animal Crush," and the drummer for Aaron Burr grabbed them and put them on. Well, he didn't realize Charles had a wireless bass rig, so he left the stage and walked up to the guy mid song! I lost sight of him, because the stage lights are so bright, but the video caught it all. Anyone want to see it? 4.12.08 Happy Birthday to Adam Gerdel! Just played Velvet Jones in Santa Barbara last night. Everybody was scattered in different hotel rooms. I figured it would be sleeping bags and huddled bodies. Nate flew to SF and the rest of us drove up today. Hung out on Union Square and Charles was amazed by all of the lesbians, and jealous of their love. 4.7.08 Wow, what a great night we had at the Beauty Bar! Thanks to all who made it out, and DJ Edgartronic for keeping the beat alive. It was a killer show. Many have told us it was our best show ever! So we have a lot to look forward to on tour. If you live in Santa Barbara, you can still get tickets for the show by emailing tix@echorevolution.com. Thanks for all the support! 3.19.08 We have advanced to the stage two of the Emergenza Music Festival. That crazy March 8 show (where Nate was laid up sick, and Mark Sturino was in Texas playing minister) actually got us through. Thanks again to Kate and Daryl. 3.17.08 Happy St. Pat's. We've added a date in San Francisco to our west coast tour! Starstruck will be headlining a show at the Rockit Room, and we expect a terrific night. If you're in SF, come out and see Echo Revolution! 3.12.08 Our new release, "A Safe Place to Start," will be in stores April 5. We may be playing near you on tour this summer, so check back often! 3.10.08 Lee did a rare appearance with his acoustic at Lestat's tonight as part of an Open Mic. He played "Springtime" and a brand new song "Counterfeit Sunshine," and got a fantastic response from the crowd. Other performers which captivated the crowd were Ivan Chong, Eric Bowen, and The Flimz. Monday nights at Lestat's, a little piece of Frisco. 3.9.08 Crazy show last night. Nate was too sick to make it, and Mark Sturino was in Texas for a wedding. Darryl Marsh sat in on drums, and Lee managed to slam his guitar and hand against Mark Knoll's keyboard in a wild spectacle of a show. The crowd went wild as the boys (well, most of them) dripped sweat and poured out their best at O'Connells. Thanks to Darryl and Kate, who shined bright, and Alan from Fuzz Huzzi who let Lee borrow his prized Stratocaster! 2.28.08 Kyle Van Band will be joining Echo Revolution on tour for their Velvet Jones show in Santa Barbara 4/11. This will be a terrific night, so don't miss out. The band will be performing for UCSB students earlier that day as well. 8.22.07 Tomorrow night we will be at the 710 Beach Club in Pacific Beach. We're excited to share the stage with Kyle Van Band and our old friends Republic of Letters. Lee will be heading off to Morocco the next day, so come on out and send him off in style. We'll see you there! 8.13.07 Don't forget the Casbah tomorrow, August 14! We also have a great show coming with Republic of Letters and Kyle Van Band at 710 Beach Club in Pacific Beach, San Diego, CA. We're also in the middle of booking some shows for the remainder of 2007. This will include LA and possibly some more west coast dates. Thanks for all your support! 2.28.07 We will be scheduling a release date for the new album later this summer, so stay tuned. Good news, we've begun booking new shows! We're excited to unveil the new songs live for the 1st time. We have a video online for the song "Come Down," which was nominated for "Best Rock" in the LA Music Awards, so check it out! Also, we'll be featuring the track "Drying Feathers" live for the first time. This song was played for the last episode of MTV's Real World Austin. So, mark your calendar for Saturday March 3rd, when we hit the stage, with a guest lead guitarist Mark Sturino, and another surprise guest at the Club on Sunset (www.rockinthecat.com)! So get your crew together and we'll catch you there. 11.12.06 Sorry for the lack of updates lately! We've been busy finishing our next album, which will have 12 or 13 brand new songs. You can preview a couple of these at www.myspace.com/echorevolution. A release date for early 2007 will be announced soon, along with new shows. 4.21.06 Check out World Talk Radio (www.worldtalkradio.com) this Sunday at 11 am.
